Lilly Allen is more than Alright Still!
Summer may have been and gone but one factor of it remains, the fond memories of beaches and bar-b –queues and Lilly Allen’s voice breezing through the sky bringing a breath of fresh air to the summers scorching memories. You can forget all the “Summer 2006” compilations that will be brought out at the end of this month because to be honest there was only one summer album this year.
The success of first single ‘Smile’ has brought fame to Lilly Allen, who’s down-to-earth vibe and brutally honest lyrics have won her fans the nation over. A genius blend of catchy hooks, sing-a-long chorus’ and beautiful looks (courtesy of Lilly) is sure to get your speakers pumping when listening to this album.
There are no tracks on this album that I wanted to turn over, I intently listened to each song, laughing at the realness of Lilly’s vocals in ‘Everything’s Just Wonderful’ (I wanna get a flat I know I can afford it/it’s just the bureaucrats that won’t give me a mortgage) and crying at the beautiful ‘Littlest Things’. This album serves up everything you could want for a summer album, but will pull you through the cold dark winter and make you walk around with a big smile on your face.
Skip to - ‘LDN’. This song is bound to get you singing your heart out and aching to get to the streets of London Town and prance round in a pretty dress (you need to see the video to understand).
Frunity music can give Lilly Allen nothing but a five out of five for this fabulous album!
i think i heard her London Town song before this on Radio 1, and that made me smile alot more than this. but the rythem is nice and is backed up with some pretty awsome lyrics. To be honest, even if i hadnt heard her London song, i would of still likesd Smile. Isnt a song thats goin to appeal to everyone, especially die hard rocker but still
