So, Jessica Simpson is now a free agent. Her divorce from Nick Lachey has obviously stirred up some emotions in the pop princess and now she’s released a rather grown up sounding new album. This is one of the only Jessica Simpson records to really make an impact.

With backing tracks very reminiscent of Madonna’s “Holiday” era, I have to say I would gladly dance to this album with my girls on a night out. Tracks like B.O.Y and Public Affair have such a funky beat to them, and there’s even a cover of Dead or Alive’s You spin me round (like a record). This really is Jessica’s best album to date and you really won’t be disappointed.

Tracks like Fired Up see Jessica really ‘Urbanised’ and this album definitely brings out the Femme Fatale in her. Also, watch out for Jessica’s ‘Public Affair’ video, with Christina Applegate, Christina Milian and Eva Longoria - it’s one of the funniest, sexiest video’s out there.

If you’re lacking good pop disco music in your life, and you have a spare tenner, I desperately recommend Jessica Simpson’s Public Affair. The blonde bombshell sure surprised me, and she will no doubt surprise you too!
