Green Day and U2 recreate Abbey Road for Katrina Charity
The famous Abbey Road album cover from the Beatles will be recreated by U2 and Green Day in an effort to raise money for the people affected by Hurricane Katrina.
These two top rock bands will be playing their charity single tonight in New Orleans. The track is a remake of “The Saints Are Coming” by Skids.
The money raised will go to musicians that were badly affected by the devastating hurricane. The money will go to Music Rising which was the hurricane charity launched by U2’s Edge.
They will perform the single in the Louisiana Superdome, just before the Atlanta Falcons play the New Orleans Saints in a football match.
Is this a publicity stunt or a great public service?
