I’m a big fan of Eminem, but this new song is not what fans like me have come to expect of Eminem. The guy is a lyrical genius, no doubt but we see precious little evidence of his skills in this track.

In the video Em and his G-Unit buddies go all out gansta, pretending to be prisoners guarding by high security. In fact the song shows more of G-Unit than it does of Eminem!
Eminem raps for about 30 seconds in the middle of the track, but the rest of it is sung by G-unit members such as Llyod Banks and 50 Cent, who also does the chorus.

So this raises the question, is this really an Eminem song?

I don’t think so. The track should be credited to G-Unit featuring Eminem. If this is Em’s big comeback then its a very poor one. The song isnt bad at all, but its just there’s not much Eminem in it…

Gwen Stefani decribed the new album as “suprisingly different” from her multi-million selling debut CD, Love.Angel.Music.Baby.

Gwen Stefani is due to release a single before the album comes out called Wind it Up. The album is due for release on December 5th.

She also said that the sound would be more modern and less retro that the last one.

What do think of the new album and new sound from Gwen Stefani?

Its not a bad album, Razorlight fans will not be disappointed.

Only ten songs on the CD though, but it seems Razorlight had traded quantity for quality as all of these songs are very good.

The best song on the album by far is the hit single “America”. “All my life…watching America…” - its great.

It is probably one of the best songs that Girls Aloud have released so far. It was hyped a lot before its released but it has lived up to expectations.

Something Kinda Ooooh has a decent background beat and its very catchy, people are singing it everywhere!

Girls Aloud are set to release an album soon. This album will be a compilation CD, a Girls Aloud Greatest Hits. I think that this it is a bit premature. I don’t think that Girls Aloud have made enough decent tracks for a greatest hits CD. You expect them from Bob Dylan, Eminem, Tina Turner etc, people who have established themselves in music and have had a decent career where they have reigned at the top of their genre for a good few years. I don’t think Girls Aloud fits this category.

Anyway it a decent new tune, what do you think about it?

Urban has said that he is “determined and resolved to a positive outcome” and so he is determined to beat his addiction. However it is still unclear what sort of addiction he has although he has admitted to using cocaine in the past.

Therefore the promotional appearances that Keith Urban would have been making for his new country album, Love, Pain & The Whole Crazy Thing, are postponed.

As Phil Collins & Co. get ready to go back on the touring road the band’s ex-frontman was asked to play with them again.

Gabriel, who is enjoying a very successful solo career, decided not to got on tour as he has his own projects to work on.

Some of the best songs on Open The Door are probably the weirdest though, In “Snow White Queen” she sings about a fan who was stalking her but it still a pretty good tune.

P Diddy used to be all gansta rap but you wont be hearing any gansta rap in this new album.

Instead P Diddy has gone more into the RnB sound and he sings a lot more than he raps. Yes he actually sings and he is not bad either. There are also some romantic tracks so P Diddy or Diddy as he is now known on this album, is doing quite a few new things.

Anyway its a good listen even if you didn’t like Diddy before, you may like the new album, Press Play.

The Stooges spent last week at Albini’s Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago, USA, recording some new music.

This will be the band’s first production since Raw Power in 1973 and they are supposed to be working a quite a few new tracks. These include “Greedy Awful People,” “Mexican Guy,” “I’m Fried.” and more.

In December the band is going to play at the Nightmare Before Christmas festival in the United Kingdom.
